Through the Tide — Holywell Bay, Cornwall
Looking out from one of the sea caves at Holywell Bay towards the unmistakable Gull Rocks, Through the Tide captures one of my favourite views on the Cornish coast.
I've been returning to Holywell for nearly 30 years, and it remains one of those special places that never seems to lose its magic. This photograph was taken from inside the cave, using its dark natural walls to frame the beach, Atlantic Ocean and Gull Rocks beyond.
It's a view that has continued to inspire my photography, filmmaking and artwork over the years. The same dramatic landscape has also appeared on screen in the television drama Poldark, which used Holywell Bay as one of its Cornish filming locations.
Printed as a fine art Giclée print on premium matte paper, the original 3:2 composition is preserved across each of the four available sizes.
