A solitary figure and dog make their way across the wet sand at Holywell Bay as the last light of the day settles over Cornwall’s north coast, with the distinctive Gull Rocks silhouetted against the evening sky.

Photographed as the sun drops towards the Atlantic, the wet beach catches the warm golden light while long shadows stretch across the sand. It’s a simple, peaceful moment that captures something I love about being outdoors: that feeling of having a beautiful place almost entirely to yourself at the end of the day.

Holywell Bay has been one of my favourite places in Cornwall for many years, and this photograph forms part of my growing Quirky Drift Outdoors Cornwall Collection.
